The Physics, Astrophysics, Chemistry, Earth (PACE) Graduate Initiative brings together several disciplines in the fundamental sciences to study the laws and mechanisms governing matter, the Universe, and the physical and chemical systems that surround us. It covers a broad range of fields, from fundamental physics and astrophysics to chemistry, Earth, and environmental sciences, while encouraging interactions between these different disciplines.

One of the main objectives of PACE is to develop an interdisciplinary approach to understanding complex phenomena, ranging from the fundamental properties of matter at the microscopic scale to the large-scale structures of the Universe and the dynamics of our planet. This approach relies on the complementarity of experimental, theoretical, and computational methods, as well as on advanced techniques for modelling, simulation, and data analysis. By bringing together traditionally distinct fields, PACE provides an environment conducive to exploring scientific questions at their interfaces, while preparing students for research careers in areas ranging from fundamental sciences to issues related to the environment and the exploration of the Universe.
