As part of the Graduate + project, the Graduate Initiative “Energy and Industry of the Future” (GI EIF) is pleased to announce the launching of an Excellence Scholarship Campaign for Masters students who wish to attend one of the master’s degree program in Engineering, part of the Graduate Initiative “Energy and Industry of the Future”.
These scholarships are intended to train students in the fields of Engineering. These scholarships are open to foreign students wishing to enroll in the second year of one of the following master degree programs in Engineering at University Claude Bernard Lyon 1:
Master M2 MFE: Fluid Mechanics and Energetic
Master M2 DISS: Data and Intelligence for Smart Systems
Master M2 EEEA: Electronic, Electric energy, Automatic
Master M2 Robotic: Automatic and Robotics Science
and wishing to pursue a research program, during an Internship in a research laboratory at University Claude Bernard Lyon 1, in the field of one of the following research thematics.
Thematic 1: “Air trumpets” for Master M2 MFE and at LMFA, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1

The amount of the scholarship is €1000 per month for 10 months, including an Internship in a research laboratory, totaling €10 000 per year per recipient. Furthermore, no registration fees are required for the selected candidates, as their master’s registration fees are covered by this graduate initiative program.

To be a foreign student, newcomer to a French university and living outside of France at the time of the application (French dual citizenship allowed)
Having obtained a 1st year of Master degree before 1 September 2026 in the field of Engineering or any fields related to the EIF Graduate Initiative.

Deadline for applications: January 26th, 2026
Notifications on the first week of March, 2026, for a start date of the program early September 2026.

Academic transcripts of previous degrees (including class ranking and total number of students in the cohort)
Academic transcripts of current studies (if transcripts are not available: extracts of previous academic work by the applicant)
Description of the study programme followed
English language certificate (or proof of identity for native English speakers)
In parallel with the above procedure, students should act according to their situation and apply to the training programme on the dedicated national platforms.
These two procedures are independent of each other but compulsory.
