The Graduate Initiative Biodiversity-Bioresources (GI BB) aims to develop, through transdisciplinary approaches, an international training, deeply rooted in research regarding the dynamics, evolution, preservation, and management of biodiversity and bioresources, including the quality/health of organisms and ecosystems, and the production of food resources. This initiative combines cutting-edge scientific issues with key societal challenges related to the Anthropocene, requiring transdisciplinary approaches (biology, ecology, biochemistry, geography, history, law, citizen science…).
Our ambition is to expand the environmental science education offerings to train the next generation of professionals through:
BB GI brings together leading laboratories in the field of environmental science at the La Doua, Gerland, and Saint-Etienne sites, and can rely on structures and tools/programs from the Lyon/Saint-Etienne site: EUR H2O’ Lyon, EUR EID@lyon, FR BioEEnViS, Labex IMU, PIA4 Shape-Med@Lyon, Equipex + Infectiotron, PEPR Solubiod, PEPR OneWater, CPER SOBIOE.
The Graduate Programme Biodiversity-Bioresources is launching a call for applications for two PhD contract fundings as part of the SFRI GRADUATE+ program.
We are pleased to announce the launching of the Excellence Scholarship Campaign for Masters students who wish to attend one of the masters of the Biodiversity and Bioresources Graduate Programme.
The BB GI mentoring programme aims to achieve these objectives by fostering and developing interpersonal relationships between undergraduate (L) or master’s (M) students and researchers, faculty members, postdoctoral fellows, or PhD candidates through mentoring sessions held throughout the academic year.
Upon entering the Graduate+ Initiatives Master programme, students will work closely with faculty and researchers to build their academic project. Each student will be assigned an academic advisor and will be actively involved in research activities throughout the programme.
Select from one of our Master's programmes and map out your own academic journey. You can customise your path according to your interests and objectives with a diverse range of Master's options.
