This scholarship is open to any student enrolled in an IVID program (M2 LIVE, 3i, Infectious Diseases) who wishes to complete their M2 research internship in a laboratory abroad.
The scholarship amounts to 1,000 euros per month for 6 months, or 6,000 euros per recipient
Students enrolled in the M2 LIVE, 3i, or Infectious Diseases master’s programs.
Applications must include a research proposal to be carried out during the stay. This proposal must be approved through an internship agreement between the M2 program’s academic advisors and the person responsible for implementing the project at the host laboratory.
A complete application package must be received by November 13, 2026.

This scholarship may be combined with other forms of financial aid for international mobility (with the exception of the “Travel” scholarship for internships abroad offered by the UFR Biosciences).

The following must be included with your application:
Copy of an official identification document
Resume (CV—1 page) updated to include the student’s current course of study
Statement of purpose
Description of the research project (objectives, scientific context, methodology, expected results, etc.) (20 lines maximum)
Letter of acceptance from the host foreign institution/laboratory
Draft internship agreement between the University of Lyon 1 and the host laboratory abroad (Attach this document along with any other documents requested by the GI)
Recommendation letter: The recommendation letter will be sent directly by the recommender.
To do this, you will be asked to provide the recommender’s email address so that they can upload their letter of recommendation directly to the platform via a dedicated link.
Applications will be evaluated by the IVID Graduate Initiative Council.
The decision will be announced on November 24, 2026, with the fellowship set to begin in January 2027.
