Medical Device Engineering

Call for application to June 3rd, 2024

Within the Graduate + project, the Graduate School in Medical Device Engineering is very proud to announce excellence scholarships dedicated to master students for the academic year 2024-2025.

 

This call for excellence scholarship applies to the following masters:

  • Master Medical Device Engineering:

  • Master Design and Optimization of Health Products

  • Master Medical Imaging Signal & System

  • Master Analysis and Control (the scholarship will be awarded to a Master’s student for two years in a laboratory developing analytical tools for biomedical applications)

 

The Masters in: Medical Device Engineering, Medical Imaging Signal & System and Analysis and Control are taught in English. The Master Design and Optimization of Health Products is taught in French.

Specifications:

8 excellence master scholarships of 10K€ per scholarship will be awarded for the academic year 2024/2025

 

Who can apply?

International student: foreign student living outside of France at the time of the application

Application dates:

The call is open:
  • Until Monday the 3rd of June : for the Master Analysis and Control

  • Until Monday the 7th of June for the masters:

    • Medical Device Engineering

    • Design and Optimization of Health Products

    • Medical Imaging Signal & System

 

We will organize two commissions to select the applicants:
  • Monday the 10th of June : for the Master Analysis and Control

  • Monday the 24th of June for the masters : 

    • Medical Device Engineering

    • Design and Optimization of Health Products

    • Medical Imaging Signal & System

 
The applicants will receive the results:
  • Tuesday, the 11th of June : for the Master Analysis and Control

  • Tuesday, the 25th of June for the masters:

    • Medical Device Engineering

    • Design and Optimization of Health Products

    • Medical Imaging Signal & System

Award Criteria and procedure:

Applications have to be submitted in English.

The scholarship criteria are the academic excellence and the professional project. Students should have: an excellent academic background:

– 2 letters:

  • 1 academic recommendation letter from a teacher

  • 1 research- oriented cover letter written by the applicant which answers the question: why would you be the best candidate to access this program?

– Applicants should answer the 4 following essay questions:

  • Why do you wish to pursue graduate studies in the Master of Medical Device Engineering?

  • How does your academic background and your professional experiences prepare you to access this program?

  • How will our program help you achieve your intellectual and professional goals?

  • Name a medical device researcher whose research interests align with your own and explain

Documents to be added to the application:

  • Pre-university certificates (baccalaureate, A-level…)

  • Official transcripts of records

  • University diplomas, degrees which have been completed

  • Identity document: passport or identity card

  • CV

  • Proof of English level, the non-English native applicants must take one of the following tests:

– TOEFL (iBT)

– TOEIC listening and reading

– B2 First (previously named Cambridge English First)

– Duolingo

– SFRI Graduate + Contact form
