Application deadline for M2 students: 10 December 2025
Application deadline for M1 students: 15 February 2026
As part of its international outreach strategy, the Graduate+ BB Programme is launching a call for applications for outgoing mobility scholarships, intended for Master 1 and Master 2 students undertaking an internship abroad in 2026.
Eligible to apply for these outgoing mobility scholarships are first- and second-year students enrolled in the core Master’s programmes of the Biodiversity–Bioresources Graduate Initiative:
Master’s in Biodiversity, Ecology, Evolution
Master’s in Microbiology
Master’s in Environmental Management
Master’s in Plant Biology
Master 2 in Integrated Watershed Sciences
Outgoing mobility requests must correspond to mobility requirements (internships) included in the applicant’s curriculum. These requests must fall within the disciplinary fields of Biodiversity and Bioresources and align with the general objectives of the Graduate Initiative BB (“…develop an international training initiative, with a strong research-based background, on the dynamics, evolution, preservation and management of biodiversity and bioresources, including the quality/health of organisms and ecosystems and the production of food resources…”).
The evaluation criteria are as follows:
undertaking an internship abroad,
presenting a research-focused internship topic in either the academic or socio-economic sectors,
presenting an internship topic with a multidisciplinary dimension,
quality of the justification (see application form below) in relation to the general objectives of the GI BB,
being ranked in the top half of the cohort during the academic year preceding the application (Year 3 of the Bachelor’s degree for M1 applications; M1 results for M2 applications).
The number of applications per Master’s programme must comply with the budget forecasts for outgoing mobility grants (and therefore the number of requests submitted by each Master’s programme in July 2023). This criterion will be taken into account for arbitration if the number of applications exceeds the number of scholarships available. Finally, academic merit will be considered to differentiate among surplus applications.
The evaluation will follow these steps:
The call for applications (AAC) will be sent by email to all Master’s coordinators affiliated with the GI BB.
The standard application form (see below) must be sent to desouhant@univ-lyon1.fr by 10 December 2025 for M2 students and 15 February 2026 for M1 students.
Evaluation by the GI BB Council: late December 2025 for M2 applications and late February 2026 for M1 applications.
